Agree the checklist before bulk starts
Quality control only works if both sides know what “fail” means. Measurements, stitch defects, shade variation, and packing errors should be listed before production, not invented at inspection.
Urban Stitch Wear publishes this as a discussion list, not as a certified inspection protocol. Named audit standards are added only when verified.
What to check on a garment
Measurements versus the approved chart, symmetry, seam security, loose threads, zipper function, rib recovery, fabric holes or stains, and whether decoration is in the agreed placement.
For sets, check that top and bottom shade and fabric match. For women’s and men’s runs, check that the correct block was used.
What to check after the garment looks fine
Labels, size stickers, polybags, carton marks, and quantity per carton. Many disputes are packing disputes. If your retailer needs a specific fold or barcode, that belongs in the spec.
